SMOK Priv V8 Vape Kit Review – Horse Power

The SMOK Priv V8 kit features a Baby Beast tank and an easy-to-use mod with no screen and a single button in the form of a whole-side trigger. While the ease comes at the expense of versatility, the kit still manages to perform well overall. Let's take a look. Also be sure to check our vape buyer's guides for important information to consider before making your first purchase. Manufacturing Quality There's two main parts that I consider when looking at manufacturing quality. The first is how well the stuff you get was actually made and put together. The second is how well it was designed to begin with. Let's start by focusing on what you get. Like I mentioned in the intro, there isn't very much going on with this mod. You've got the battery door on the bottom for your 18650 (not included), and a trigger along the side. The trigger is built well. It's responsive and doesn't rattle at all, and it feels solid when you are squeezing it. There is no screen on this, and there aren't any settings. It can output up to 60W, but that will ultimately depend on what the resistance of your atomizer is. The voltage output will also drop as the battery charge diminishes. The Baby Beast tank is good. For those of you that aren't familiar with the Baby Beast, it has a 22mm diameter and a 3ml capacity. There are airflow slots that you can adjust along the bottom of the tank, and the top opens for easy filling. The coils perform very well, but typically won't last more than a week or two with regular use. Now on to the design. Talk about basic. There's nothing to it at all. This is about as simple as you can make a mod. You turn it on, it delivers power the coils when you click the fire trigger, and that's it. There is nothing else for you to do or think about. I could sit here at criticize it for that, but at the end of the day, this was introduced for people looking for a mod that takes all the work out of vaping. While there are tons of other vapes out there that offer similarly limited functionality, this does have a more modern design and great color options. Flavor Quality The flavor and vapor quality is good, especially when you consider the fact that you don't have any control over the power settings. I tend to look at something like this and assume that the vapor is going to be terrible. I mean, if you can't choose the exact wattage that you want to vape at, the experience won't even be worth it, right? Wrong. While I still like to have all the settings to play around with, this is proof that a well-calibrated mod can deliver a great experience without any input from the user at all. The Baby Beast tank is well known for good flavor and impressive clouds for the size, and it didn't disappoint when combined with the SMOK Priv V8. Power Flexibility There isn't any power flexibility at all! Like I said above, the power output will mostly depend on what atomizer you are using. It can handle resistances down to 0.1ohm. Obviously the lower the resistance, the higher the power. The voltage output will vary with the battery charge, beginning around 4.2V and dropping as low as 3.4V. Ease of Use If you choose to buy the SMOK Priv V8, it will almost certainly be because of how easy it is to use. It's not the most versatile. It's not the most powerful. It's not even the smallest and most portable. But it's hard to compete with one button and no settings on ease of use. Here's everything you need to know to use it. Click the trigger five times to turn it on. Click the trigger while you inhale. That's really it. Clicking five more times will turn it off. Portability I've already said that this isn't the smallest or most portable mod out there, but the portability of this is still good. It's small enough to fit in your pocket comfortably, and it's a good size for just carrying around in your hand as well. I didn't have any problems with leaking either, and the battery life is also good. Overall Experience The SMOK Priv V8 is not for everyone, but for certain people it may be the perfect mod. This may seem really specific, but there is a particular group of people that I think would find this especially refreshing: people switching to vaping from smoking who aren't technologically inclined. This is just so easy to use. If you're problem with vaping is that it seems too complicated, this takes all that out without sacrificing much on performance. It's just a solidly built mod that delivers good vapor from a good tank. It also happens to have a nice design with cool color options. If that's all you're looking for, this may be exactly the kit you need. Source: http://torontovaporizer.ca/blog/smok-priv-v8-vape-kit-review/
