Hellvape SERI RDA is a new chunky RDA from the brand who have created some excellent atomisers!
Hellvape brought us the Dead Rabbit, Fat Rabbit and Helheim tanks which have had several different variants and prove to be fan favourites.
More Details On The Hellvape SERI RDA
Now my first thought is that this is massive for an RDA! Most are around 24-25mm in diameter. This is a whopping 26mm!
The reason for this huge diameter becomes clear when you see the deck.
The deck has 6 posts/clamps to allow for dual or even triple coil builds.
This deck is a “series” design (hence the SERI name). This means the resistance of all the coils adds up – i.e. 3×0.3ohm = 0.9ohm. On a parallel deck, 3×0.3ohm would give 0.1ohm total resistance.
Obviously, 0.1ohm resistance would be too low for a lot of box mods and also would strain the battery.
Whereas 3 coils on a series deck would be a higher resistance, less strain on the battery and obviously a lot more vapour! Makes sense doesn’t it!
A “short circuit connector” is included which is used for dual coil builds to short out the centre set of clamps to continue the circuit to all the coils.
Also with 3 coils, you can use a higher wattage, apparently, this is able to withstand up to 200W!
Airflow wise enters the side of the RDA and is channelled to the side of each coil and each side of the centre coil if installed.
You can turn the outer airflow cap to restrict or open the honeycomb airflow inlets to suit your own preference.
A 6mm deep juice well is provided which should save you from having to keep adding e-liquid when using this as a dripper.
This is also handy if you are a squonker, install the included hollow BF (Bottom Feed) 510 pin and use this on a squonk mod.
You get a generous kit of goodies including a coil leg cutting tool, 3 coils and shoelace cotton to get you started.
