Trends VAPORESSO LUXE X Review

TARGET and LUXE lines are some of the most recognizable products in Vaporesso's categories. LUXE X is the latest pod/AIO kit from LUXE.

LUXE X is an AIO pod kit listed at 40 watts, and it is made for both MTL and DL vaping. It comes with a simple interface and a built-in battery listed at 1500 mAh. It’s available in seven colors, with all of them coming in a black-to-transparent fade for the most part, with a metal ring of the color making up about one-third of the body.

Features

The LUXE X AIO is a simple non-adjustable AIO/POD kit. It features a built-in battery rated at 1500 mAh with 1.5A charging.  There is a fire button (no auto-draw,) and slightly adjustable air depending on which way you put the pod in. There are three small LEDs on the bottom to let you know the battery charge. The body is clear, so you can see the chip which I personally like, and it’s supposed to be pretty durable.

The pod itself is tinted dark and features built-in mesh coils which they call COREX coils with “flavor-boosting technology.” They advertise that they are offering 50% more life, flavor, and efficiency. Not really sure how one measures two of those three, but longer life is always welcome and easily measurable. They offer two pod choices, and it comes with one of each: a 0.8-ohm pod for lower-wattage MTL/RDL vaping, and a 0.4-ohm for higher-wattage RDL vaping. They both offer a hefty 5 mL capacity (also 2 mL TPD for those under that restriction).

First Impressions

I’ve used and reviewed many VAPORESSO devices as well as many pod/AIO devices as this is the trend in vaping lately. I will say looks-wise, this is one of my favorites. I always geek out at see-through bodies on devices. I do like that there is some air adjustment, and you can tell the difference. Even if you can’t dial it in, it is a decent loose MTL vape with the MTL coils for sure, and you can also do a restricted DL with both coils. Usage has been very simple since it’s a one-button device. Press fire five times to turn it on and off and use the fire button to fire it. It does seem to charge in a standard time (roughly one hour).

There are some small things though that I’m not a fan of. The dark-tinted pods always annoy me. I don’t know why it’s the norm. I’m always for function over style, and clear pods are so much easier to see your juice level. Also, I’d prefer four LEDs in equal increments for battery life. I’ve mentioned it many times, and if memory serves right, they did do that with one device I reviewed. But now it seems they reverted back to the three steps. Still, it vapes well, it’s small and pocketable, looks great, and seems durable. So, outside of a few quirks, it has the potential to be a great AIO in 2022.
