Series of SMOK Nord Products are highly prized vapes in the market. Nord 5 is the latest pod system kit of the Nord range.
I loved the original Nord, and since then there have been many updates including Nord 2, Nord X, Nord 4, Nord Pro, and Nord 50W.
What To Expect From SMOK Nord 5 Kit…
Traditionally the Nord range were basic starter kits – aimed at beginner vapers.
Over the evolution of this range, the device has become more complex and moved away from a typical MTL starter kit into more of a mini box mod and sub-ohm tank set-up.
Nord 5 is not what I would describe as a starter kit anymore.
Compare to Nord 2 and Nord 4, the new kit - Nord 5 brings something different here.
It has regular series and leather series to choose from, and it's rare to see that a mini pod kit has a 5ml large capacity, plus the 2000mah internal battery.
You can replace the coils on this and it uses the RPM 3 range (same as RPM 5 and RPM 5 Pro kits) which are definitely Direct To Lung (DTL) coils which are not compatible with higher nicotine or nic salt e-liquid.
These coils are either 0.15ohm or 0.23ohm resistance (you get both in the kit) and will need to be used at higher wattages than an MTL coil.
Looking at the main device now, this has a staggering 2000mAh battery! This ultra-long standby power design brings you an immersive vaping experience.
Charging is at either 1.2A (Regular version) or 1.5A (Leather Version) charge rate. SMOK says that 1 hour and 40 mins are the maximum charge time.
The output is adjustable from 5-80W – again this output is in the single battery box mod category!

An 0.69inch OLED screen is provided to view all your vaping data plus an LED indicator.
